What is Kratom?

Traditionally, kratom leaves have been used by Thai and Malaysian natives and workers for centuries. Kratom, or Mitragyna speciosa is a tropical evergreen tree located in Southeast Asia it is also native to Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. Each breed of the Kratom Leaf found in each of these regions has certain distinctive traits that make them all equally unique when compared to one another. Horned Kratom has a naturally occurring mutation that causes the edge of the leaf to look like it has small horns. This mutation occurs in small groups of kratom trees mainly in small areas of central to eastern Kalimantan, and is known to be a very potent rare strain. Kratom is the original name used in Thailand, and is a member of the Rubiaceae family. Other members of the Rubiaceae family include coffee and gardenia. Workers in Southeast Asia use Kratom  to increase energy, stamina, and limit fatigue daily, and it has been used since the 19th century.
